Company's original full name is Aytas Tarim Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. Aytas is established at 1985. Aytas began to trade with importing food grade chemicals to Turkey. Aytas is one of the leading company in trading ethanol business in Turkey since 1997.

Aytas is a family owned company. Before 1995, Aytas and Ustunay were 2 sister companies and  were owned by 2 families. At 1995, 2 families leaved the partnership, demerged the companies and Aydogdu family got the Aytas. After this demerging, Aytas started to import chemicals for food industry. At 1997, Aytas entered ethanol trading market in Turkish domestic market. At the first times of importing ethanol, Aytas had problems with Turkish government, because Ethanol trading was controlled by Turkish Monopoly (TEKEL). TEKEL demanded to control Turkish market as monopoly and to keep control of the market, it didn't give any Ethanol import permission to any company. Aytas Tarim Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. broke this monopoly chain and Aytas has been the first official Ethanol importer company in Turkey. Later, company built a factory at Aegean Free Zone and a few years later built another factory at Ataturk Industry Zone.  At Aegean Free Zone factory while importing ethanol, company manufactured chef's dish fuels and exported it to most European countries. Now, company's main work is trading ethanol, secondly is manufacturing chef's dish fuels. Aytas is exporting her products to many countries, mainly Tunisia, Libya, Ukraine, Jordan.

Aytas is the registered ethanol trader company by Turkish Alcohol & Tobacco Inspection Department (TAPDK).

Executive Board

Aytas's chairman is Kani Aydogdu. He is the former president of Dogru Yol Party (DYP) Izmir City, he is the former president of Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) and more etc. Aytas's vice chairman is G. Mert Aydogdu. He graduated from Pamukkale University, Mechanical Engineering and master degree from 9 Eylul University, Eng. International Relations. He is the chairman of the Foreign International Relations and EU Affairs Committee at Izmir Young Businessman Association (IGID/ESIDEF/TUSKON).
